Kent
Alongside South East Water, we have introduced a Temporary Use Ban (hosepipe ban) across Kent, coming into effect from 00:01 on Friday 3rd July and remaining in place until further notice. Following a sustained period of hot, dry weather, demand for water across Kent has reached exceptionally high levels.
Hampshire and the Isle of Wight
Alongside Southern Water, we have introduced a Temporary Use Ban (hosepipe ban) across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, coming into effect from 00:01 on Friday 10 July and remaining in place until further notice. Following a sustained period of hot, dry weather, demand for water across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight has reached exceptionally high levels.
East of England - Anglian Water Region
Alongside Anglian Water, we have introduced a Temporary Use Ban (hosepipe ban) across East of England (Anglian Water Region), coming into effect from 01:01 on Saturday 11 July and remaining in place until further notice. Following a sustained period of hot, dry weather, demand for water across East of England (Anglian Water Region) has reached exceptionally high levels.
Central region - Bedfordshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Surrey and parts of London
Alongside Affinity Water, we have introduced a Temporary Use Ban (hosepipe ban) across our Central region covering Bedfordshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Surrey and parts of London, coming into effect from 00:01 on Friday 17 July and remaining in place until further notice. Following a sustained period of hot, dry weather, demand for water across our Central region has reached exceptionally high levels.

What is a Temporary Use Ban (TUB)?
A Temporary Use Ban (TUB), also known as a hosepipe ban, means some water use will be limited for a while. We bring it in when our water sources are under pressure, and it’s important to take steps to protect them and keep supplies flowing for everyone.
Why is there a Temporary Use Ban (hosepipe ban)?
Large parts of the country are currently experiencing a prolonged period of hot, dry weather, and demand for water across some regions has reached exceptionally high levels. To help manage demand and protect vital water resources, a Temporary Use Ban will be introduced in some of the areas we supply until further notice.
